Bob Handler Scholarship

The Bob Handler Scholarship is awarded to three female golfers in pursuit of higher educational opportunities who demonstrate an aptitude for golf and reflect the game's inherent positive values.  These recipients possess a record of pursuing and accomplishing goals in golf, school, community, and are committed to a vision for her future.

Addison Parker

Gaffney, SC

All-State 2022, 2023, 2024

 

Outside of golf Addison is involved with the Cooley Springs youth group, assists with Vacation Bible, is active in the Future Christian Athlete Club, and volunteers feeding the homeless at the Spartanburg shelter.

 

This fall, Addy will be attending Presbyterian College where she will pursue a degree as a Physician’s Assistant while playing college golf.

 

"She has always been exceptionally hard working, consistent and coachable."

Olivia Roberts

3-time All-State Player & 3-time Individual State Champion

 

In her free time, Olivia coaches basketball at the Kid's Club of the Upstate (formerly Boys & Girls Club). She is also involved with her youth group at church.

 

This fall, Olivia will be attending Anderson University where she will continue her education and play college golf.  After graduation Olivia plans on becoming an elementary school teacher.

 

"She respects her peers and goes beyond to assist anyone that is in need."

North Myrtle Beach High School

MVP for Girls High School Golf Team (2022)

 

Sydney participates in varsity Track and Field, is the president of 
Science National Honor Society (SNHS), and is Co-leader of Academy of Christ all is her free time outside of golf.

 

Sydney will be attending Florida Atlantic University to study Biomedical Sciences in hopes of becoming an Orthopedic Surgeon.

 

"She is extremely gifted in her academics; however, she is humble enough to know that there is always more to learn."
