WSCGA Senior Championship

May 6th - Pawleys Island, SC  --  The Final Round of the 2025 WSCGA Senior Championship was played today under some beautiful weather.  Thanks again to the Tradition Golf Club for hosting the Championship.  Let's take a look to see how the 2025 WSCGA Senior Championship ended!

Championship Division

Dawn Woodard won her first WSCGA Senior Championship by 2 shots over 5-time Champion Jayne Pardus.  Woodard birdied the island green par-4 7th - the only birdie on the hole in the Final Round.  Pardus made back-to-back birdies on holes 13 and 14 in her attempt to catch Woodard.  Ultimately, Woodard's opening round of 72 (E) was the difference maker in the Championship.

Flight 2 

Julie Snider won the second flight by 1 stroke over Chrissie Spidell. Snider and Spidell both carded a final round 79 (+7).

 

Flight 3

Cinda Althoff ended up winning her flight by an impressive 9 shots!  She was consistent with a pair of 88s on the Championship.  Jennifer Alvarez edged out Robin Moyer for 2nd in the scorecard playoff.  Alvarez also had the biggest improvement in scoring between Rd 1 and Rd 2 in the Championship as she was 17 shots better in Rd 2 compared to Rd 1.

 

Flight 4

Similar to Althoff, Leah Bohnen was also consistent in her play going on to finish with two 90s en route to her Flight 4 win over Angie Dimalanta.

Legends Division

Liz Yacovone successfully defended her title by winning the Legends Division by just 1 shot over Louise Givens.  Yacovone birdied the par-5 9th in both rounds which was the hardest hole on the course for the Championship.

Flight 2

Denise Uitto won the flight and also ended T3 for the Overall Legends Division.  Uitto's opening round 79 (+7) proved to be pivotal for her Flight 2 victory.

 

Flight 3

Lynn McElveen had a spectacular Final Round of 86 today and was able to win by 6 shots over Carole Stone.

 

Flight 4

Flight 4 in the Legends Division was the tightest of all flights in the Championship.  The top 6 players were within 4 shots of the eventual Flight 4 winner - Kathy Bruce.

 

Flight 5

Ann Griffith had a wire-to-wire victory in the 5th Flight and shot a Final Round 98.
