Rule 10.2(3)
Setting Down an Object to Help With Aiming
A player may not set an object down to assist with aiming or taking a stance
If a player breaches the rule, the penalty cannot be avoided or fixed
Rule applies to similar actions such as drawing a line in dew to aim
This rule does not apply to a ball-marker when used as on the green or other times when a ball is to be placed on a spot
Penalty for Breach of Rule 10.2 (3): General Penalty
To support women in advancing their knowledge and expertise in golf rules by attending the USGA Rules School and becoming a certified USGA Rules Official for the WSCGA.
The WSCGA Vicki Hillen Junior Golf Foundation awards three (3) individual $3,000 scholarships to support female golfers in pursuit of higher educational opportunities.
Applicants should demonstrate an aptitude for golf and reflect the game's inherent positive values. Applicants should possess a record of pursuit and accomplishment of goals in golf, school and community, and be committed to a vision for her future.

The Women's South Carolina Golf Association (WSCGA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 1949. Our Mission is to promote and serve the best interests of women's golf in SC by hosting tournaments for all skill levels throughout the state and, in conjunction with the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA), provides free seminars for members that cover the Rules of Golf, Pace of Play and Etiquette, rates SC golf courses for women players, and provides handicap services to its Member Clubs and individual members.
